WE ARE THRILLED TO PRESENT OUR SCHOOL SHOW
‘Summer Extravaganza 2021
Presented through ‘Performance Workshop’ Registered Charity Number: 1085787
Sunday 4th July
It is with huge excitement that we are able to announce our end of year SCHOOL SHOW!!!!!!!
Sunday 4th July will see an ‘Extravaganza’ of dance! And the children will have the chance to perform at The Bacon Theatre in front of a live audience. This is a fantastic opportunity to sample student’s grade work plus group dances and notable student performances. I’m sure you will all understand just how much this means to us and we are cannot wait to see the students back on the stage where they want to be.
There will be two performances:
1.Junior School – Grades Primary up to and including Grade 3 -- plus Performance Workshop Groups and Friday Space
Sunday 4th July – 2.30pm- Junior Performance
2.Senior School – Grades 4 and above -- plus Performance Workshop Groups
Sunday 4th July – 6.30pm - Senior Performance
The format will take into account social distancing requirements as set out by the Bacon Theatre Management. This mean that ticket availability will be limited. Currently we are anticipating a maximum allocation of two per family but that will be under review as guidelines allow. Be assured that every endeavour will be made to ensure both audience and children are in as happy and COVID-19 safe environment as possible
We shall include a selection of ballet, modern and tap grades. Should you wish your child to take part, you need to email Pa@janetmarshalldance.co.uk with the attached permission slip completed and signed as soon as possible. Your child will not be allowed to partake in the show without this as it is a legal requirement – we need to receive this by no later than May 30th (sooner will be appreciated)
As I’m sure you can imagine, there is a huge amount of work involved in putting on the show. We need to complete all of the paperwork well ahead of time and the teachers need to be certain of numbers in order to choreograph the dances. Having said that we are hugely looking forward to a fantastic day; made even more so by the events of the past 14 months.
This is a ticketed event and the children will be rehearsing at some point on Sunday July 4th ahead of the show. Seniors will rehearse on Saturday July 3rd in addition to Sunday July 4th. You do need to be aware of this commitment.
